THE CRG OFFICIAL TEAM IN JAPAN WITH ITS DRIVERS FOR THE OPENING RACE OF THE KF1 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP

IN SUZUKA, FOR THE FIRST ROUND OF THE WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP OF THE KF1 CATEGORY, CRG FIELDS TIENE, LENNOX, FORE’, TININI, YAMASHITA. ALSO THE LH TEAM IS RACING WITH JOYNER AND SORENSEN. THE EVENT IS ALSO VALid_clanek FOR THE KF2 ASIAN-PACIFIC CHAMPIONSHIP

The KF1 World Championship - 2012 version - starts this weekend in Suzuka with the first round out of two which, this year, represent the CIK-FIA world series of the top category without gearbox. The second and last roundtakes place on 20th October on the circuit of Macao.

35 drivers on 38 entrants turned out on the track of Suzuka, with the CRG official team fielding its top drivers and ready to race on their winning and top performing CRG chassis with Bmb by KVS engines. CRG is sid_claneked by the LH Racing team which runs with the LH by Lewis Hamilton chassisproduced by the Italian factory.

THE CRG OFFICIAL TEAM. The drivers racing for CRG in Japan are Felice Tiene, definitely in peak physical form in this period of the season and who has just won in the WSK Euro Series of Val d’Argenton; then Jordon Lennox-Lamb, at his comeback after his excellent debut in KZ2; Eddy Tinini, greatly motivated to do his best in such a prestigious competition.

The race of Suzuka also welcomes the comeback of one of the most winning champions of the category, the other CRG official driver David_claneke Forè, four time winner of the world title conquered in 1998, 2000, 2004 and 2006. The CRG official team is completed by the Japanese Kenta Yamashita, who has good chances to achieve a good performance.

ALSO THE TEAM LH ON THE TRACK. Also the LH Racing Team is taking part in the world championship of Suzuka with the English champion TomJoyner and the Danish Christian Sorensen, both on LH-Bmb and both determined to do their best with the help of the excellent equipment made in CRG.

The appointment of Suzuka has in its schedule four finals, two on Saturday and two on Sunday. The total score is given taking the three best results. With the race of Macao the title will be assigned to the driver with the best score achieved adding up the six best results.

Concurrent with this race, the Asian-Pacific KF2, with 30 drivers at the start. Running for CRG the Japanese Yuki Asahara and Kohel Suto for the JP+MRS Power team, Kazumi Osada for the Hirano team, besid_clanekes the other Japanese Yuina Kobayashi on LH with the Kein’s team.

LIST OF WORLD CHAMPIONSHIPS WON BY CRG. The list of world championships won in its 25 years of history by the CRG "galaxy" is very long and rich of names, for sure the list is the most prestigious. CRGstarted winning in 1984 with Gabriele Tarquini (Formula C) and, for the time being, the last titles won were in 2011 with Nyck De Vries (Zanardi-KF1) and Jonathan Thonon (CRG-KZ1), for a total of 35 world titles won. In the direct drive category, the last title won on a CRG chassis was in 2009 in Macao, thanks to Arnaud Kozlinski. Before that, we remember the one won by Wade Cunningham in 2003, Giedo Van Der Garde in 2002, Vitantonio Liuzzi in 2001 and Danilo Rossi in 1999. Liuzzi, on CRG, won in 1999 too. Danilo Rossi is CRG’s record man thanks to his 6 world titles, among them a World Cup: besid_clanekes 1999, Rossi won in 1997, 1992 with an awesome "hat trick" (Formula C, Formula K and World Cup FK) and in 1990. Among the most famous names who raced and won for CRG we remember the great Mike Wilson (in thse days Ayrton Senna’s rival) world championship winner in 1985, 1988 and1989.
