CIK-FIA Campionato del Mondo KF1 1° prova + CIK-FIA Campionato Asia Pacific KF2
SUZUKA – Giappone
ASIA PACIFIC CHAMPION, KF2 CATEGORY WITH NIELSEN
Success in the CIK-FIA Asia Pacific championship in KF2 category for our Kosmic Kart Racing Department with Nicklas Nielsen. At the
Japanese track of Suzuka our drivers could run at their best and Nielsen won the prestigious CIK-FIA title, ahead of two Tony Kart-Vortex
drivers, Damiano Fioravanti and Federico Panetta. Paolo Ippolito ended in sixth position, confirming the winning technical potential of the
Kosmic Mercury chassis.
In KF1 category our team played once more the role of protagonist thanks to Daiki Sasaki, not less than three times gaining the second
position in the World Championship of KF1 category. We missed the success in the world round for a hair’s breadth and our Sasaki is
presently second in the world ranking, behind the Tony Kart-Vortex-Brid_clanekgestone run by Flavio Camponeschi.
KF2 – Nicklas Nielsen graduated becoming Champion of the CIK-FIA Asia Pacific Championship in KF2 category and conquered the deserved
success of this important Japanese competition.
This win comes after a very hard work and after our drivers’ good results in the heats, too. Paolo Ippolito also showed off and won one of the heats
gaining the first row at the end of the qualifying heats. Nielsen also took a heat and started in the third position of the prefinal.
Our Mercury chassis could perfectly run in the fast bends of the Suzuka Circuit and powered by the Vortex RAD engines could make the right
synergy in Nielsen’s hands. Our young Danish driver was thus able to win the prefinal and fully achieved the important target to win a CIK-FIA
competition.
In the very first positions of KF2 category’s ranking there are not less than four Kosmic Kart chassis, other than the chassis of the winners, Nielsen
and Ippolito (6°), the remaining ones do not come from our Racing Department but from private teams. This furthermore underline the high quality
standards our Italian factory offer.
KF1 – The crowd of KF2 category has arrived during the same weekend when our driver Daiki Sasaki celebrated the opening of this world
championship in KF1 as the absolute leader. Sasaki gained the pole position after the first round (Saturday) by signing the timing of 47.346 and could
end both races with a second position.
During Sunday’s competitions Sasaki’s Kosmic Kart-Vortex chassis was the first who cut the tape in race-3, but unluckily he got a penalty because
of an infraction during the starting procedure and could obtain a fourth position.
Sasaki recovered in race-4 gaining once more the second place, competing for the success with Forè.
The steady and continuous good results take Sasaki to the second position in the world’s ranking, with 60 scores, behind the italian Flavio
Camponeschi.
In the absolute classification we also find our driver Tereza Gromanova, who gained good scores in three competitions out of four.
